I apologize for the traffic noise and blurry image, but I had to share this one. This fluffy little bird (I think it’s a young house finch, or it could be a female sparrow), had her head tucked under her wing and was sleeping while sitting in the bird feeder attached to our deck railing. I was able to get pretty close before she woke up, ate another sunflower seed then looked at me as if to say ‘I don’t remember that being there when I dozed off’. She then panicked and flew away.
