Encounters with nature…
One of the many wonderful things about spending so much time out in the garden is that I get to experience many brushes with nature. I see gorgeous butterflies, buzzing bees, cool bugs, singing birds. We’ve also seen raccoons, skunks, and a male turkey doing a mating dance, hilarious!! I’ve even seen a beaver! Yes, that’s right. I wasn’t in my garden, but one day I saw a beaver chewing on a tree branch on the side of the road just a couple miles from my house. That was a first. I didn’t get video of that, but I took a few pictures.
Check out my cool encounters below and let me know what interesting things you see in your garden.
I apologize for the loud traffic noise and the quality of my videos. I’m not good at this, but I love to share what I’ve seen.
Beaver
One day after picking up my 100 year old mother to run errands, we came upon a tree branch that had fallen on the side of the road. Upon closer inspection, we could see something was chewing on the branches … a beaver!! I stopped the car and took a couple pictures. He didn’t seem to mind one bit. He looked up at us then continued his chewing.
