Today’s Bouquets

Tuesday 8/12 - Today’s bouquets are similar to yesterday’s, a mix of all things beautiful in my garden.

The focal flowers are several zinnias and marigolds with at least one dahlia and one aster. I also had 2 huge, gorgeous black eyed Susan’s, so big they almost look like sunflowers. They are from a fresh plant from a second succession that I used. The filler flowers are celosia, snapdragons, strawflower, gomphrena, and statice. The filler is lemon basil and frosted explosion grass.

Monday 8/11 - Today’s bouquets are a mix of different colors and different flowers. I used a little bit of almost everything that’s blooming in my garden right now.

The focal flowers are zinnias, sunflowers, dahlias, asters and marigolds. The filler flowers are celosia, snapdragons, strawflower, gomphrena, and statice. The filler is lemon basil. A couple of the bouquets have frosted explosion grass.

Saturday 8/9 - You must have loved the Buffalo Bills themed bouquets as much as I did because they sold out in less than a day. It will take a while for my red and blue flowers to push more blooms. I hope to have more for next Sunday’s game. I harvested a variety of flowers this morning and made more bouquets to take to Hopewell Market.

The focal flowers are zinnias, sunflowers, asters and marigolds. The filler flowers are celosia, snapdragons, strawflower, and statice. The filler is lemon basil.

Friday 8/8 - Today’s bouquets are Buffalo Bills themed bouquets with red, white and blue flowers. The red flowers are zinnias, gomphrena, a snapdragon, and celosia (both cristata vaiety that looks like brains and the spicata variety that has the shape of wheat). The blue flowers are ageratum, echinops (globe thistle), and fama scabiosa which is a perennial variety of the pincushion flower. The white are small world dahlias and white spicata celosia. These bouquets are going to Hopewell Market.

Beacon Farm Market - I didn’t have enough red, white and blue flowers to make Buffalos Bills themed bouquets for Beacon Farm Market. Instead I made bouquets from a beautiful variety of flowers in my gardens.

The focal flowers are zinnias, sunflowers, asters, dahlias, and marigolds. The filler flowers are celosia, snapdragons, strawflower, statice, ageratum, and frosted explosion grass. The filler is lemon basil.

Wednesday 7/30 - The bouquets I made today had a lot of zinnias which are now blooming in full force. I also harvested the first of my celosia, craspedia, and asters.

The focal flowers are zinnias, dahlias, marigolds and a couple asters (more to come). The filler flowers are statice, strawflower, celosia, ageratum, a couple fama scabiosa, a couple craspedia, and a few snapdragons. The filler is lemon basil.
