Fall Colored Bouquets at Lafeyette Restaurant
October 8, 2026
These bouquets are full of sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias and mums. I even used some hydrangea flower heads from my Annabelle hydrangeas. They bloom white and fade to a pretty chartreuse green color. I like using them as foliage this time of year when I don’t have much else. These are hydrangeas that you can cut back every year and they come back the next year with big beautiful blooms. If you cut them back to the ground, you’ll get very large blooms, some over 12” across. If you don’t want them as big, you can leave 2 to 3 foot stems when you cut it back. That will force the blooms to be smaller.
