Jewel Tone Bouquets at Hopewell Market

I love these colorful, bright bouquets! The purple, fuscia, red and yellow colors work well together and will brighten any room. These bouquets are full of focal flowers, no fillers. I used 2 different kinds of foliage and both add fragrance that will transform the atmosphere of your space. I used cinnamon basil that has dark green leaves, purple flowers, and a cinnamon aroma. I also used anise hyssop (a.k.a. agastache foeniculum) that also has purple flowers with a licorice scent. It is a native perennial herb in the mint family that bees and butterflies love. I always leave a few flower stalks for the pollinators. You can tell if a plant is in the mint family because it will have a square shape to the stem instead of round. I use this low maintenance, carefree plant all season. I use the foliage in my early spring bouquets before it blooms. It will then regrow and I use the stems with the beautiful purple flowers in my fall bouquets.
