Red, White & Blue Bouquets
August 16, 2026
The gorgeous focal flowers in these beautiful bouquets look like roses, but they’re actually lisianthus. These plants are divas! They are very slow growing and take about 8 months to bloom after planting the seeds. The seedlings require daily watering for several months before they are planted outside. Every year I say I’m not going to grow them next season, but then they bloom and I fall in love all over again. Some stems have as many as 6-8 buds, and they have a really long vase life. Since I’m a huge Buffalo Bills fan, and because it’s the 250th anniversary of this great nation, I planted red, white and blue lisianthus this year. I hope you enjoy them.
